This is it! After several years of preparation, Studio13 is now a reality. With financial support from the Canton and the Confederation (Transformation Projects), the Valais Films association and the town of Sion have set up a space entirely dedicated to audiovisual production in the Valais. This facility, the only one of its kind in French-speaking Switzerland, aims to become a key centre for professionals in the audiovisual sector, both in Switzerland and internationally. Thanks to its central location in the Valais, Studio13 is an ideal cover set for location shoots. Swiss and international producers will find a suitable workspace here, as well as headquarters for centralising their activities throughout their projects.
The studio can accommodate a wide range of projects, from short and feature-length fiction films to animation, documentaries, commercials and commercial photo shoots. It comprises two sets of around 400 m² and 100 m², technical areas and a 23-seat screening room.
The Valais Film Commission intends to promote this facility and boost the canton’s appeal to Swiss and international producers. The aim is to make the Valais a filming location and a key destination for productions, while offering a centralised, secure and fully-equipped location for indoor filming.
